What Lies Ahead for Employers in 2013
Our first ever employment law update takes place on 7 March 2013. The update will be delivered by Paul Ball who has recently joined 3volution from Eversheds to head up our new Employment Department. Paul has developed a strong reputation in his field of practice as being a down to earth, commercial and pragmatic employment lawyer who is rated very highly by clients and colleagues alike.

In the last few weeks alone, the Government has announced a raft of employment law changes which aim to reduce the regulatory burden and increase the competitiveness of businesses in the UK. If all the proposed changes take effect, the approach to managing "end-of-employment" issues may change significantly for many employers, and the way in which any subsequent disputes will be dealt with (whether by an employment tribunal or otherwise) are likely to change. Hopefully for the better, but what will the reality be like?
These developments, together with proposed changes to TUPE legislation, collective redundancy consultation, and management of employees on long term sickness absence will be covered at our employment law update.
The update will be suitable both for HR specialists, as well as for managers and directors who have responsibility for people issues.
When and Where
The seminar will be held on 7 March 2013 at Aspire, in Leeds city centre just around the corner from 3volution's offices. Registration and breakfast will be from 8.30am, and the update will be from 9.00-10.00am. We will close with an informal Q&A session until approximately 10.30am.
